FAQ’s

What are your priorities as a candidate for local council?

My priorities as a candidate are:

SHOPPING VILLAGES REVITALISATION: I'm dedicated to revitalising our shopping villages, making them vibrant hubs where local businesses thrive and residents feel safe and connected.

PLAYGROUNDS & YOUTH ACTIVITY SPACES: I aim to enhance playgrounds and youth activity spaces, ensuring all children have access to safe, engaging, and well-maintained areas for play and recreation.

STORMWATER & INFRASTRUCTURE: I will focus on improving stormwater management and infrastructure to protect our community and environment.

COMMUNITY CONNECTIVITY: Enhancing pedestrian safety and promoting active transportation is crucial for connecting our suburbs with safe, well-maintained footpaths, pedestrian crossings, and cycling paths.

OPEN SPACES: Keeping our public spaces clean and well-maintained makes our neighbourhoods vibrant and enjoyable, encouraging outdoor activity and community connections. Caring for the environment so we can do our best for the next generation.

TRANSPARENT & COMMUNITY-GUIDED: I'm committed to advocating for a transparent and accessible council. It's about listening, leading with integrity, and ensuring our council reflects the diverse needs of our community.

How do you plan to engage with the community?

I'm committed to transparent communication, regular consultations, and involvement in community events. Your input and feedback will guide my decisions as I represent our community's interests.

How can I support your campaign?

You can support my campaign by spreading the word and contributing your ideas via the survey HERE. Most importantly, the biggest help would be if I could put a coreflute sign at the front of your property facing the street to help spread the word. If this is possible, please get in touch HERE.

Who are you taking donations from?

I am taking NO donations, ensuring that my decisions and actions are driven only by the best interests of people living within Sandpiper Ward. My commitment is to you, my neighbours, and to making our community a better place for everyone. If you would like to support my campaign I would love to be able to place a coreflute sign on street-facing aspect of your property (eg on your front fence), please me know HERE.

Are you aligned with any political party?

No, I am 100% independent - a local Edithvale resident wanting to represent and advocate for the community in which I live. I am not aligned nor have ever been aligned with any political party, prioritising the needs of the community above all else.

Who are the Edithvale Collective?

The Edithvale Collective is a community volunteer group working to improve the Edithvale area. It’s apolitical and has advocated the City of Kingston for various programs including the update of the Edithvale Shopping Village.
